I find it utterly baffling how a society that cherishes its freedoms can find enjoyment in the imprisonment and oppression of others. Amusement wrapped in a package called "education" may serve to fool our sense of right and wrong for a short time. That is until tragedy strikes to wake us up.

I hope that Tuvaq's death will prompt a serious reassessment of the way in which we treat other species. It's time to truly show our respect and reverence for the lives of all species with whom we share this planet. Stop using them for our gain and let them live as free of human interference as possible.
